Deep red to almost purple in color. Black fruit on the nose with hints of rich smoke, tobacco and cedar. On the palate there was a lot going on. Hints of spices and black berries. Finish was pretty decent but I think the bottle could use a bit more time. The tannins were pretty big and I think some time or some air would have calmed them down.
