2007 Alempue Pro Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon $9.99

This is a biodynamic from Chile. Rich red in color with some bright red fruit on the nose. There is also a light hint of dried herbs like clove. Some pretty good cherry notes on the palate with a hint of vanilla. Tannins are pretty smooth and acidity is pretty decent. I actually found this wine nice. Its cheap, biodynamic, and taste great. I have seen this wine on the shelf in another state for $14 so for $10 on the shelf it should fly like a kite.

Tasted 3/4/09 via Calypso Organic Selections
